Travel Nurse RN - Operating Room - $2,239 per week in Saginaw, MI

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years of RN OR experience, Level 2 Trauma experience, proficient in Orthopedic, Vascular, Neuro, General/Gynecological, and Urology License: Active Michigan RN License Certifications: Active American Heart Association BLS Must-Have: - 2+ years of RN OR experience - Level 2 Trauma experience - Proficient in Orthopedic, Vascular, Neuro, General/Gynecological, and Urology - Recent travel work experience preferred Description: This position is responsible for assessing the needs of each patient before and during a surgical procedure. Maintaining patient safety is a top priority. The RN outlines individual care plans, implements, evaluates, and documents care of the patient during surgical procedures. Provides leadership to the OR team. The role involves communication with the patient and family, the OR team, supervisors, managers, and ancillary departments. Participation in staff development through preceptorship and continuing education is expected. Responsibilities: Assesses the needs of the surgical patient and develops a plan of care specific to that patient. Implements and evaluates the plan of care during the procedure, making necessary adjustments while prioritizing patient safety. Supervises activity in the room. Anticipates and coordinates any schedule changes for the room. Assembles equipment and supplies. Assists anesthesia as necessary. Monitors the sterile field. Communicates with the patient, family, physician, OR team, supervisor, manager, and ancillary departments. Participates in staff development by attending in-services, educational meetings, staff meetings, and other seminars for educational opportunities and leadership growth. On-call expectations include 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month.
