Description:
The Operating Room Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in the anticipation and planning for patient care in the operating room.
The OR RN works with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, and other personnel to provide patient care according to regulatory standards and policies.
Responsibilities include scheduling cases and ensuring the availability of supplies for surgical procedures.
Maintaining timeliness of cases and communication with families is essential.
The OR RN updates physician preference cards and scrubs and circulates surgical cases.
Supervision of personnel delivering patient care is also part of the role.
Candidates must have experience in an Operating Room setting and be available for call one day a week and one weekend a month.
