Travel Nurse RN - Operating Room - $2,266 per week in Selma, AL

Job Title: Operating Room Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM Experience: Minimum 4 years recent OR RN experience in a hospital setting License: Must have an active RN license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS through the American Heart Association required Must-Have: - Experience in OR Circulator with Endoscopy experience - Must have experience in Endoscopy, Orthopedic, and General surgery; ENT and GYN experience preferred - Availability for on-call shifts, which include 7 days per month with one weekend per month Description: The Operating Room Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills and scientific judgment. Leadership is essential in anticipating and planning for patient care in the operating room. As a member of the surgical team, the RN collaborates with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, and other personnel. Patient care in the Operating Room must comply with regulatory standards, physician orders, and hospital policies. Responsibilities include ensuring the availability of supplies and the timeliness of surgical cases. Communication with families and updating physician preference cards is also crucial. The RN will scrub and assist physicians during surgical cases and supervise personnel delivering patient care.
