Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room (OR) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Afternoon Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2+ years of current OR experience License: New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: EPIC experience Float experience to vascular, orthopedic, trauma, general surgery, robotic surgery, urology, and ENT Travel experience Strong skills in vascular and orthopedic surgery Scrub and circulate experience Candidate must have own vehicle Description: Operating Room Nurses provide necessary surgical patient care. They assess, plan, and implement nursing care for patients before, during, and after surgery. Activities include patient assessment and creating and maintaining a sterile surgical environment. Nurses will offer pre and post-operative patient education and monitor the patient's emotional and physical well-being. Integration and coordination of patient care throughout the surgical continuum is essential. The patient population includes pediatric to adult. Experience in an environment with various surgical specialties is required, excluding cardiac and ophthalmology. The average number of procedures performed daily is 50. Requested time off must be noted upfront. Please note that a 14-panel drug screen is required, and the candidate must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
