The role involves working in a full-service facility.
The facility performs various cases except for major pediatrics and transplants.
It is not a level 1 trauma center but functions as a level 2.
Some orthopedic and neurological trauma cases are handled.
Robotic surgeries are also part of the case types.
C-sections are not performed in the main operating room.
Nurses are preferred to have scrubbing experience, although it is not required.
There are 19 operating suites available.
The average number of cases per day is 55-60, totaling approximately 1,000 cases monthly.
The call requirement for nurses is general, averaging every 7th weekend.
There is no call during the week.
Two specialty teams take call every night.
Travelers may take call only if cases fall within their competency.
Response time for call is 30 minutes.
Holiday schedules rotate with permanent staff, requiring flexibility.
Additional expectations include maintaining professionalism and teamwork.
Candidates should be adaptable to different situations and challenges.
