Nurses are preferred to have scrubbing experience, although it is not required. There are 19 operating suites available. The average number of cases per day is 55-60, totaling approximately 1,000 cases monthly. The call requirement for nurses is general, averaging every 7th weekend. There is no call during the week. Two specialty teams take call every night. Travelers may take call only if cases fall within their competency. Response time for call is 30 minutes.
