This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join a dynamic surgical team in Cleveland, Ohio. The successful candidate will provide expert nursing care to a diverse patient population undergoing a wide range of surgical procedures.
This role involves actively participating in all phases of the surgical process, ensuring patient safety, advocating for patient needs, and collaborating effectively with the interdisciplinary surgical team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a circulating and/or scrub nurse for various surgical specialties.
Manage patient care during the intraoperative phase, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Prepare the operating room with all necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies.
Maintain a sterile field and adhere strictly to AORN standards and facility policies.
Assist the surgical team with patient positioning, prepping, and draping.
Document all aspects of nursing care accurately and thoroughly.
Participate in time-out procedures and ensure correct patient, procedure, and site.
Provide support and education to patients and their families as needed.
Service lines include: General Surgery, Gynecology (GYN), Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT), Plastics, Vascular, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Neurology, Pediatrics, Thoracic, and Robotics.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of two (2) years of recent, acute care Operating Room (OR) experience.
