# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Operating Room – MarylandStart Date: October 12, 2026Location: Baltimore, MarylandCompensation: Details provided to qualified applicantsSchedule: 3x12 hour shifts, 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM, every other weekend required, call based on unit needsHighlights:- Operating Room position averaging 40 cases per day with 1:1 patient ratio- Comprehensive surgical specialties including Trauma, ENT, Colorectal, Plastics, Neurosurgery, Surgical Oncology, Urology, Ophthalmology, GYN, Orthopedics, Robotics, Vascular, and Thoracic procedures- Level II trauma experience required; Level I trauma and teaching hospital experience preferred- Advanced technology environment featuring da Vinci Xi Robotic System, minimally invasive techniques, and evidence-based care protocols- Charting system: Cerner/Surginet with comprehensive interdisciplinary support services- 40-hour orientation provided; scrubs provided by facilityRequirements:- Active Maryland or Compact RN license required upon submission- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience required- Level II trauma experience required- BLS certification required- 16-hour Maryland-approved trauma course (required by week 27)- 8-hour annual trauma CEUs required- ACLS, NIH, and PALS certifications preferred- Proficiency required in trauma cases, ENT procedures, endoscopic procedures, general surgery, gynecology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, and thoracic procedures- Experience with emergency OR response, fire safety, malignant hyperthermia protocols, and latex allergy precautions required- Experience with electrosurgical units, fiber-optic equipment, and Steris equipment required- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)Why It's a Great Opportunity:This Operating Room position offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, high-volume surgical environment with diverse case experience across multiple specialties.
