Travel Nurse RN - Operating Room - $2,364 per week in Upper Marlboro, MD

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience required; will consider 2 years with strong experience. License: Active RN state license Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred Must-Have: DaVinci robotics experience required; must be able to scrub and circulate. Description: The Operating Room Registered Nurse will work the mid shift starting at 10:45 AM. Candidates with experience in general operating room cases, including trauma, uro, podiatry, ortho, plastics, neuro, gyn, endo, ENT, thoracic, vascular, cardiac, and bariatric procedures will be considered. First-time travelers are accepted if they have strong general operating room and robotics experience. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:1. The registered nurse will be expected to participate in holidays and weekend shifts as required. On-call responsibilities will include 5-6 calls per four-week period, which includes one weekend call. The on-call shifts are equally divided among staff, and nurses must arrive within 30 minutes if called in. Floating to sister campuses may be required as needed. Specific skills required include the ability to perform various surgical procedures including but not limited to abdominal and vaginal hysterectomy, appendectomy, coronary artery bypass graft, and laparoscopic assisted procedures. Candidates should have experience with electronic medical records, specifically Epic. Ideal applicants will be familiar with a variety of surgical techniques and safety protocols, including universal protocol. Compliance with safety standards and guidelines in the operating room is essential.
