Travel Nurse RN - Operating Room - $2,428 per week in Englewood, CO

Job Title: RN - OR Profession: RN Specialty: Operating Room Duration: Seasonal - Travel Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in acute care License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS and ACLS preferred Description: This is a seasonal travel position for a registered nurse in the operating room. The shift is from 9 PM to 7 AM. The facility features 14 operating rooms, including a hybrid CV OR and a cysto room. The team comprises approximately 60 full-time equivalents. Daily staffing includes 14-16 RNs and 14-16 CSTs on day shift, with a clinical charge RN. Night shift support includes a clinical charge RN, one OR RN, and one CST. Patient ratios are maintained at 1:1. Standard operating room equipment is utilized, including Stryker video systems and EMR systems. Candidates must have a minimum of one year of current hospital acute care experience. Experience in circulating and scrubbing is preferred. Familiarity with the EMR system is a plus. Typical procedures performed include angioplasty, appendectomy, biopsy, and orthopedic/spine cases. Transplant procedures are not performed in this unit. Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach are essential. Adaptability to change is highly valued on this unit. On-call duties include being available for one day a week from 5 PM to 7 PM and weekend on-call once every six weeks. This is a competitive environment, and new equipment or technology is often introduced. Tenure and experience of the staff are significant assets. Flexible scheduling options may be available.
