Travel Nurse RN - Operating Room - $2,434 per week in Wheeling, WV

Job Title: OR RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 3 12-hour shifts or 4 10-hour shifts per week. Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required. License: Valid, unexpired nursing license required. Certifications: BLS Certification required. Must-Have: IV skills are a must. Surgical care knowledge is necessary. Experience with robotics is required. Scrubbing experience is mandatory for RNs. Preoperative care experience is necessary. Charge Nurse/House Supervisor experience is preferred. Experience working with OR techs is required. Description: This position is for an Operating Room Registered Nurse. The RN will work in a preoperative area referred to as the surgical center. The RN will be responsible for providing surgical care for patients. The candidate will be required to perform all procedures, including same-day and overnight stays. Candidates should expect to handle 55-70 cases per day in the unit. Participation in the weekend rotation and on-call schedule is required. The schedule includes 1-2 second calls per month, which involve being on call for 24 hours on weekends. The position requires rotating weekends with 8-hour shifts scheduled on Saturdays or Sundays. The call response time is 30 minutes. Floating requirements may include the OR holding area. The dress code will be provided by the facility. The charting system used is Allscripts. This is an acute care setting. Weekend shifts and on-call requirements are part of the job expectations.
