Travel Nurse RN - Operating Room - $2,454 per week in Falls Church, VA

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 16 Weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours and 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS (must be AHA) Must-Have: Level 1 or 2 trauma experience Travel experience (minimum of 1-2 assignments) Description: BLS certification must be current and from AHA. Two years of experience required in a trauma setting. Travel experience is preferred and candidates should not be on their first travel assignment. Team self-schedules for shifts and call. Weekend requirements include 2-3 shifts per 6-week schedule period. Call responsibilities involve 3-4 weekday shifts and 3-4 weekend shifts (4 hours each) in a 6-week schedule. Holiday and night rotations are needed as determined by the unit's needs. Candidates must work at least one major holiday during the commitment. There are a total of 28 operating rooms. The electronic medical record system used is Epic. The facility handles 70-85 cases per day. Scrubs will be provided. During weekends, there are 7-8 operating rooms in use on Saturday and 5-6 on Sunday, primarily for urgent cases with some scheduled procedures. The operating room functions 24/7 throughout the year. Service lines include orthopedics (including total joints), organ transplants, general surgery, robotics, ENT, oral/maxillofacial, vascular/thoracic, urology, and pediatrics. Experience with neonates and pediatrics is preferred, along with trauma experience. Floating may be required based on low census needs. Epic access is necessary for this position.
