Travel Nurse RN - Operating Room - $2,455 per week in Dover Foxcroft, ME

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Operating Room Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday to Thursday Hours per Shift: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM Experience: Minimum 2 years of OR experience; Will consider 1 year if experienced with all specialties offered License: RN Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: Experience circulating above case types; comfortable learning pre-op and PACU roles; comfortable monitoring patients on cardiac monitors and interpreting cardiac rhythms; comfortable scrubbing cases Description: Start date is needed. Interviews will be conducted, followed by manager approval. The facility operates with 3 OR suites and 1 GI Endoscopy room. Cases performed include general surgeries, orthopedic surgeries, podiatry, gynecology, obstetrics, endoscopy, and urology. Approximately 8-10 cases are performed per day. No robotics or high-level trauma cases are encountered. RNs are expected to circulate cases and recover patients after surgeries, as well as learn to perform pre-op interviews. RNs do not need pre-op or PACU experience but must be comfortable learning these areas. CSTs will scrub cases and assist in processing scopes. Technology used includes EMR systems, and preference is given to those with Cerner experience. RNs reporting in this role must be familiar with IV pumps and medication dispensing systems. Call requirements include 4-8 call shifts per month and one weekend of call each month. Holiday coverage includes being on call for major holidays. The department operates Monday to Thursday and is closed on Fridays. Requests for time off require manager approval. Surgical scrubs are provided.
