Travel Nurse RN - Operating Room - $2,487 per week in Aurora, CO

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3 years in operating room License: RN License Certifications: AHA BLS, CO OR Compact RN License Must-Have: Level 1 or 2 Trauma Center experience Epic experience Description: The Operating Room department is seeking a Registered Nurse. The contract length is for 13 weeks. The shift is day with 12-hour hours. The nurse will need to have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the operating room. Level 1 or 2 Trauma Center experience is required. Familiarity with the Epic charting system is necessary. The nurse must have certifications in AHA BLS and a valid RN license. The nurse will be expected to float to other operating rooms as needed. Weekend and on-call requirements will occur as necessary. There will be a daily census of approximately 90-110 patients. The unit consists of 41 operating rooms and serves as a Level 1 trauma center. The nurse will be involved in various types of surgical cases including general, GU/GYN, neuro, ENT, and plastics. The nurse should have experience with a wide range of surgical procedures. All applicants must not have been employed in any capacity previously at the organization within the last two years. Applicants must not have applied to any internal travel jobs or permanent staff positions within the past two years. Travel experience is required. This position does not accept first-time travelers. Approved time off is limited to 10 days per contract. Travelers should be prepared for additional requirements as needed by the department. Completion of facility-specific modules will be necessary within the first week of assignment. The nurse is responsible for staying informed through the designated communication channels.
