Job Title: Operating Room Surgery RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: OR Surgery RN Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Days Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Strong orthopedic experience Scrubbing experience preferred Charge nurse experience is a plus Description: Profile review and manager interview are required. The operating room has 3 suites. The average number of cases per day is 10-12. Common cases include orthopedics, podiatry, pain management, breast, GYN, general surgery, and occasional urology. The electronic medical record system used is Cerner. Weekend call requirements are for a minimum of 4 weekdays, 1 Friday, and 1 weekend every six weeks. Holiday call requirements include a minimum of two holidays per year. Call response time is 30 minutes. Floating to the west campus may be required if there are needs. The dress code requires wearing navy blue hospital scrubs. Unit/department-specific orientation is dependent on years of experience. There is a cancellation policy of 4 shifts per contract.
