Travel Nurse RN - Operating Room - $2,519 per week in Newark, NY

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours (07:00 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum of 1 year in an acute care hospital and circulating position License: Client License required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Must have experience in general OR procedures including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, thyroidectomy, abdominal and vaginal hysterectomy, and various orthopedic procedures. Description: This position is for an Operating Room Registered Nurse. The role requires a circulator in the operating room. The shift is a 4x10 schedule from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Weekend coverage is required, rotating every 5-6 weekends. On-call duty is also part of the rotation every 5-6 nights. For first-time travelers, experience in an acute care hospital is accepted. Candidates are required to float within the unit. Epic charting experience is a hard requirement. Physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy support are available in the unit. The daily patient census includes approximately 15 cases per day. The operating room consists of 4 surgical rooms. Candidates should possess experience with infection control, fire safety, and wound management protocols. General knowledge of specimen handling and universal protocol is essential.
