Description:
Previous permanent staff are not permitted to work as travelers.
No exceptions will be made, regardless of the time that has passed.
Two years of experience is required.
First-time travelers are allowed.
This position requires call, which typically amounts to 48-56 hours over a 6-week schedule.
The call schedule may vary depending on staffing needs.
Call typically consists of 6-7 eight-hour shifts within 6 weeks.
No weekend shifts are required.
Experience in orthopedic, spine, vascular, ENT, general, and gynecologic surgery is essential.
RNs with proficiency in scrubbing are preferred, although not specifically for total joints.
The position involves circulating standard community hospital surgical cases including ENT, general surgery, total joints, neuro/spine, OB/GYN, ortho, and plastics.
Scrubbing for vascular cases is required.
No CVOR, neuro, or robotics experience is necessary.
Epic experience is a hard requirement, and individuals without this experience will be redirected.
References covering 1 year within the last 3 years are required during the compliance process.
Two references including Charge RNs or Lead are acceptable.
Modules required for the role are non-billable and completed pre-start and annually.
Time spent on modules is self-reported.
Completion is recorded in transcripts.
