Description:
EPIC experience required.
Effective immediately, all candidates must include their New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate upfront with submissions.
This license is required by the state to staff for temporary needs.
Experienced nurses provide surgical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care throughout the surgical process.
Activities may include patient assessment, maintaining a sterile and safe surgical environment, pre- and post-operative patient education, and monitoring patients' well-being.
Candidates should have strong skills in vascular surgery and orthopedic surgery.
This is primarily a circulating position, and scrub experience is also beneficial.
Patient population includes pediatric to adult.
Electronic medical record system used is EPIC.
There are 14 operating rooms available with coverage in Labor Delivery for C-sections.
Currently, care is provided in all surgical specialties except cardiac and ophthalmology.
The average number of procedures performed per day is around 50.
All requested time off during the assignment must be documented upfront.
Non-billable orientation is 8 hours.
Holiday, callback, and overtime multipliers apply.
Candidates must be able to float to various surgical specialties including vascular, orthopedic, trauma, general surgery, robotics, urology, and ENT.
