Travel Nurse RN - Operating Room - $2,522 per week in Saint Louis, MO

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (06:30 - 19:00) Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Valid Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS required; ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CNOR preferred Must-Have: Epic charting experience required Ability to float between operating room suites required Description: Weekend option for dayshift, 3 shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. No call required. Float capability required between operating room suites. Unit procedures include orthopedic, neurological, spine, vascular, endovascular, ENT, urology, trauma, transplant, general surgery, and plastic surgery. This shift is heavy on neuro and trauma cases. BCLS certification required. ACLS, CCRN, PALS, TNCC, CNOR certifications preferred. Epic charting experience is required. 1 year of experience in an acute care setting is required. Unit accepts first-time travelers with the required experience and ability to do Level One Modified. Preferred experience in Trauma Level I and II facilities. The unit manages a daily census of 30 cases with 16 operating rooms. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and more. Patient diagnoses include fractured hip, cranial tumors, and major trauma. Required skills include experience with complex surgical procedures such as Whipple and radical neck dissection. Special equipment includes Jackson table, Hana table, and DaVinci robot. Travelers must complete an OSHA respirator clearance. Travelers are required to be fit-tested for an appropriate mask seal. Travelers cannot work past one year without taking a six-month break before returning. Modules are not billable and may vary. RN modules can be up to 5-6 hours, while allied modules are approximately 1 hour.
