Travel Nurse RN - Operating Room - $2,548 per week in Des Moines, IA

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room (OR) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: - 24 months of current operating room experience required - Client or medical center experience preferred - Circulating and operating room experience required - Scrub experience highly preferred - Experience in general, robotics, pediatrics, and trauma cases required - Additional experience in neurology, orthopedics, gynecology, urology, transplants, plastics, and ENT preferred License: - Active Iowa license or compact multistate license required Certifications: - BLS (American Heart Association) required Must-Have: - EPIC electronic medical systems experience within the previous 3 years required - Trauma Level I experience highly preferred - Trauma Level II experience required - No first-time travelers; must have completed a travel assignment within the previous 15 months required Description: This position involves working in the Operating Room. You will care for patients undergoing surgical procedures. The average caseload consists of 35-50 cases per day. Expectations for turnover times are less than 20 minutes. You will use three Da Vinci robots and Stealth technology for neuro navigation. Experience with Synthes or Stryker equipment for orthopedic trauma is beneficial, as there is limited involvement with orthopedic joints. The role requires floating across multiple campuses. Call for weekends runs from the end of shift on Friday until 6:30 AM Monday. The position may require working 1-2 of the 3 upcoming winter holidays unless the unit is closed.
