Travel Nurse RN - Operating Room - $2,559 per week in Des Moines, IA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Saturday & Sunday with rotating days Hours per Shift: 6:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Experience: 24 months of current operating room experience required License: Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license required Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association) required Must-Have: Experience in circulating and operating room required Scrub experience highly preferred Experience in general, da Vinci robotics, pediatrics, and trauma required Additional experience in neurology, orthopedics (primarily trauma), gynecology, urology, transplants, plastics, ENT, and vascular preferred EPIC electronic medical records experience within the previous three years required Trauma Level I experience highly preferred Trauma Level II experience required Must have completed a travel assignment within the previous 15 months Description: Quickly interviewing viable candidates. Candidates must be located at least 50 miles from the facility. Employees who have previously worked with this facility cannot work travel in another market. Mandatory holiday rotation; required to work 1-2 of the upcoming summer holidays unless the unit is closed. Patient types and treatment will vary. Average caseload is between 35-50 cases per day. Expectations for turnover times are less than 20 minutes. Special equipment includes three da Vinci robots and Stealth technology for neuro-navigation. The unit primarily uses Synthes or Stryker for trauma care. Operating room accommodates 16 suites and routinely runs 12-14. The facility serves as a Level 1 trauma center and reserves space for traumas. Service lines include cardiac, neuro, orthopedics (primarily trauma), robotics, gynecology, urology, general, pediatrics, and transplants. Scrub or circulate experience is preferred. On-call for weekends is required from the end of shift on Friday until 6:30 a.m. Monday. Traveler will be required to float across multiple campuses.
