Ambulatory Infusion Registered Nurse
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Ambulatory Infusion team in Lebanon, Oregon. This role focuses on providing specialized infusion therapy to a diverse patient population, including individuals with cancer, autoimmune diseases, and various infections.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering expert nursing care, managing complex infusion needs, and ensuring patient safety and comfort within an outpatient setting. Key Responsibilities
- Administer a wide range of infusion therapies, including chemotherapy, biologics, and antibiotics, to patients with various medical conditions.
- Provide comprehensive nursing care, including patient assessment, monitoring, and management of potential adverse reactions during infusions.
- Maintain proficiency in vascular access management, including peripheral IVs, PICC lines, and central venous catheters.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medication administration, potential side effects, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
- Accurately document all patient care activities, assessments, and interventions in the electronic health record.
Required Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in outpatient infusion therapy.
- Experience with IV therapy.
- Proficiency with PICC and midline catheter management.
- Experience in chemotherapy administration.
- National certification such as Certified Registered Infusion Nurse (CRNI) or Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN).
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy-Immunotherapy certification.
Skills & Competencies
- Expertise in IV therapy and vascular access management.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to manage complex patient cases and respond to emergent situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient education and team collaboration.
