On-call coverage required based on unit needs.Highlights:- High-volume operating room averaging approximately 40 cases per day with advanced technology including da Vinci robotic surgery systems- Comprehensive procedural exposure including Trauma, ENT, Colorectal, Plastics, Neurosurgery, Surgical Oncology, Oral/Dental, Laparoscopic Procedures, Urology, Ophthalmology, GYN, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Robotics, Vascular, and Thoracic procedures- 1:1 patient ratios providing care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations- Teaching hospital environment supporting surgical education, interdisciplinary collaboration, and evidence-based care- Electronic charting system utilizing Cerner/Surginet with scrubs provided- 40 hours of paid orientation with comprehensive onboarding supportRequirements:- Current Maryland or Compact RN license required at time of submission- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience required- Level II trauma experience required; Level I trauma and teaching hospital experience preferred- BLS certification required- 16-hour Maryland-approved trauma course required by week 27- 8 hours of annual trauma CEUs required- ACLS, NIH, and PALS certifications preferred- Proficiency required in thoracic procedures, ENT procedures, endoscopic procedures, general surgery, gynecology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, and trauma- Experience with emergency OR response, fire safety, malignant hyperthermia protocols, and latex allergy precautions required- Experience with electrosurgical units, fiber-optic equipment, and Steris equipment requiredWhy It's a Great Opportunity:This position offers the chance to work in a high-acuity operating room environment known for excellent clinical care, advanced minimally invasive techniques, and surgical innovation.
