Travel Nurse RN - Operating Room - $2,607 per week in Manhattan, KS

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in operating room with strong orthopedic and sports medicine experience License: Registered Nurse license in the state of Kansas or multistate licensure Certifications: BLS and ACLS Must-Have: Strong orthopedic experience is essential. Experience with sports medicine is required. No first-time travelers will be considered. Description: The position involves working in an operating room with a focus on orthopedics. Four operating rooms are designated for orthopedic procedures daily. High volume of total joint replacements will be performed, including knee, hip, shoulder, and ankle replacements. Minimal assistance from vendors is available during cases. Nurses and techs must be knowledgeable about instruments, setup, and workflow for orthopedic cases. Other orthopedic surgeries will include sports medicine procedures such as ACL repairs, shoulder scopes, and meniscal repairs. The average daily case load is about 25. RNs and techs are expected to pull their own cases, set up their own rooms, and turnover their own rooms. Assistance to sterile processing staff with sterilization of instruments or assembling instrument sets may be required. The schedule consists of Monday through Friday shifts; weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts are not required.
