Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 2 years required, level 1 trauma and neuro experience required, 3-4 years preferred License: Pending license accepted, compact license must apply for state license and complete training Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center Circulating skills are required Flexibility for variable start times and weekend shifts Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse in an operating room setting. Candidates must have experience in a Level 1 trauma center and neuro cases. The unit handles a mix of orthopedic, spine, and neurology surgeries. First-time travelers are accepted. Weekend coverage is mandatory, and flexibility is expected. Certification in Basic Life Support is required. No on-call duty is required, and clinicians will not float within different departments. The average number of surgical cases per day ranges from 60 to 70. This is a teaching facility with a total staffing capacity of 500 beds. The charting system utilized is Epic. All candidates must disclose any relevant restrictions or prior affiliations. References are required upon submission. Candidates with limited experience in specific surgical procedures will be screened. The emphasis is on ensuring candidates meet the required skills for orthopedic and neuro procedures. Modules are non-billable and must be completed prior to starting the position.
