We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a dynamic surgical department in Globe, Arizona. This role offers the opportunity to work within a high-volume environment, managing approximately 120 cases per month across a broad spectrum of surgical specialties.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care to a diverse patient population undergoing procedures such as General Surgery, Orthopedics (including Total Joints), Podiatry, OB/GYN (including C-sections), Endoscopy, Neurosurgery, Robotics, ENT, and Cataract surgeries. This position requires a commitment to patient safety, sterile technique, and collaborative teamwork within a fast-paced surgical setting.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert perioperative nursing care to patients across various surgical specialties.
Prepare the operating room, ensuring all necessary equipment and instruments are sterile and readily available.
Assist surgeons during procedures, anticipating needs and maintaining a sterile field.
Monitor patient vital signs, physiological status, and comfort throughout the surgical process.
Operate and troubleshoot specialized surgical equipment.
Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all aspects of patient care.
Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience as an Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse.
Demonstrated experience across a broad range of surgical specialties, including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Total Joints, Podiatry, OB/GYN (including C-sections), Endoscopy, Robotics, ENT, and Cataract procedures.
Equipment Proficiency: Hana Tables, Stryker, Arthrex, Medacta.
Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, attention to detail, adaptability, teamwork, and time management in a high-pressure environment.
Shift Details
Assignment Dates: Starting August 25, 2026, for a 13-week contract.
Shift Type: AM shifts.
Shift Duration: Three (3) 12-hour shifts per week.
Call Requirements: Approximately 7-10 days of call per month, including weekends. When on call, shifts typically extend from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM.
Licensing Requirements
Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Arizona.
