Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 2 years minimum required License: Requires valid RN license Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Experience in General Surgery, endoscopic procedures, and orthopedics - Teaching Client and Community Client experience required Description: Candidates must be comfortable with orthopedic cases. Holiday and weekend call required (5-6 shifts per month). No overnight or weekend shifts (call only). 6 operating rooms with 15-20 cases per day. It is an expectation that all travelers help with precepting and orienting new staff and travelers. Two years of experience required. Previous charge experience preferred. Experience with patient ratios required. Charting system experience with Epic required. Travel experience is necessary. Local candidates will not be accepted. Floating may be required. Scrubs will be provided by the facility. This facility is a major teaching hospital. Patients benefit from advanced research and education. All contracts end on Sunday. Work week is Monday to Sunday. Weekend and holiday requirements are unit dependent. Candidates must be 100% nicotine-free.
