Job Title: Operating Room Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 10 hours (21:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years of experience preferred License: Active Registered Nurse license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Experience circulating a variety of surgical cases, with strong neuro experience. Willingness to circulate all cases, including cardiac and transplant cases. Description: The Operating Room Nurse will be responsible for circulating surgical cases in a high-acuity environment. Candidates must possess strong experience in neuro and the ability to manage complex cases. Experience in multiple service lines, including cardiac and robotic surgeries, is preferred. This role requires a focus on patient safety and adherence to established protocols. Candidates should have experience in a busy academic environment. The nurse will set up rooms for procedures and may assume charge duties as needed. Familiarity with EPIC charting is essential. This position offers exposure to a diverse patient population, including orthopedic, vascular, and general surgery cases. Flexibility to float within the hospital may be required. The Operating Room Nurse will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
