Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day and Night 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required. Oncology surgery experience is required. General surgery experience is required. Level 2 trauma experience is required; Level 1 trauma experience is preferred. Experience with majority of following cases is required: - Whipple - Esophagectomy - Ex Lap - Bowel resection - Thyroidectomy - Parathyroidectomy - Adrenalectomy-Laparoscopic - Neck dissection - Breast reduction - Stages one and two breast reconstruction - Free Flaps - Mastectomy - Lumpectomy - Sentinel lymph node biopsy - Melanoma excision License: Active Registered Nurse license required. Certifications: BLS certification required. ACLS certification required. Must-Have: Experience working outside of specialty hired for. Float requirements within service lines. Call requirements: 1-2 nights per week on average. Weekend call approximately every 4-5 weeks for 24 hours on Saturday or Sunday, 1-2 days per month. Da Vinci experience is highly preferred. 100% nicotine-free facility. Description: The position requires an overall well-rounded RN. The RN must be prepared to float as required. First-time travelers are not accepted. Charge experience is preferred. Experience with specific surgical cases is mandatory. The RN should demonstrate a high level of competency in a variety of surgical procedures. A commitment to a nicotine-free environment is essential. This role involves working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and requires adaptability. Candidates should be prepared for potential shifts outside of normal scheduling once every four-week period. There is a possibility of off-shifting, which must be accommodated during the contract period. Travel experience is required. Charting experience with EPIC is necessary. The position entails adherence to all facility policies and procedures.
