Job Title: Registered Nurse - Operating Room Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room / Circulate Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12 days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Colorado or from a valid compact state Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Must-Have: Ability to provide expert, compassionate, individualized nursing care for patients and families. Description: This position assumes responsibility and accountability for providing nursing care for patients and their families. Expert, compassionate, individualized nursing care for patients and families is expected. Collaboration with providers, staff, and other team members is essential to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Oversight of daily patient flow to optimize patient care, safety, and satisfaction is required. Ability to triage incoming patient requests for services is necessary. Patient education to facilitate the plan of care and promote optimal wellness is an important duty. Demonstration of competent healthcare assessment skills, prioritization, and critical thinking skills is essential. Ability to handle a high volume of patient requests for medications, information, and assistance is required. Administration of medications, performance of treatments, and assistance in procedures as needed should be expected. Consistent adherence to patient safety guidelines is mandatory. Coordination of patient care with other practices and providers is required to achieve the highest possible level of patient care and satisfaction. Demonstration of the ability to work independently with minimal supervision is essential.
