Shifts include 3x12-hour days from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM or mid-shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM. Candidates with a minimum of one year of experience in the operating room are preferred. First-time travelers are accepted for this position. Weekend work will be required as needed by the department. Candidates should be open to floating within the scope of practice to meet facility needs. Block scheduling is accommodated. Locals beyond a specified radius are not eligible for this position. Required skills include expertise in a variety of surgical procedures. The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in using the Epic charting system. An interdisciplinary support approach is utilized to deliver patient care. The registered nurse will care for adult and geriatric patients with diverse diagnoses. The environment includes a teaching hospital with a total of 317 staffed beds. The role supports various surgical specialties, including general, gynecologic, urology, neuro, spine, and orthopedic robotics. Candidates must be prepared to complete any required pre-start modules. References from previous supervisors are necessary for consideration. All background checks must comply with state regulations. Candidates will need to complete fingerprinting as part of the compliance process. Travelers should maintain communication about any vacation plans prior to the start date.
