Prior charge nurse experience is required.
Supervisory experience is highly preferred.
Description:
Must be competent in robotics.
This position involves leadership functions related to clinical practice, education, and management.
Responsibilities include developing unit goals, orientation programs, and standards of care.
Provide patient care and coordinate services through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of safe therapeutic care.
Act as a role model by demonstrating and documenting assessment and nursing diagnoses for assigned patients.
Responsible for care planning and implementation of safe nursing care.
Evaluate patient responses to nursing care, provide patient teaching, advocacy, and manage discharge and transfer planning.
Coordinate patient care with other departments and disciplines.
Promote effective communication among staff and patients to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Assist with the planning and/or implementation of educational programs for staff and patients.
Act as a preceptor for new or experienced employees and assess learning needs.
Participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the quality assurance program.
Evaluate staff performance, provide feedback and guidance, and assist in problem resolution.
Participate in establishing unit goals and developing systems to support nursing care delivery.
May develop staffing schedules, participate in the interview process, and recommend staff selection.
Perform related duties as required.
Experience with robotic systems is highly preferred.
Expected to float between the main surgical area and the outpatient surgery center.
On-call duty may be required.
Participation in weekend and holiday shifts may be necessary.
Training of new hire RNs is part of the role.
