Travel Nurse RN - Operating Room - $2,863 per week in Orange, CA

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Pediatric Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours (06:30 - 19:00) Experience: Minimum 1 year of acute care experience with 6 months of Pediatric Operating Room experience required. License: Active nursing license required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: - Minimum 1 year of acute care experience. - 6 months of Pediatric Operating Room experience. - No first-time travelers. - Call requirement: 2 weekend shifts plus 2-3 weekday overnight on-call shifts per 6-week schedule. Description: This role involves working in a pediatric operating room. The average daily census is 25 patients. The position includes a variety of surgical cases such as ENT, Urology, Neuro, General Surgery, Orthopedics, and Trauma, for both inpatient and outpatient procedures. Responsibilities include circulating and providing care in the operating room setting. The nurse may function as a break nurse approximately 20% of the time during the shifts. This role involves teamwork and collaboration with interdisciplinary support. The candidate must be aware of and agreeable to the weekend and on-call requirements listed in the job description. Preferred experience includes various surgical procedures, including appendectomies, cholecystectomies, and spinal surgeries.
