Key Responsibilities of the RN - OR- Operating Room

Assist in various specialty surgeries, including ortho-total joint, trauma, neuro, GYN/urology, vascular, and thoracic
Demonstrate competency in placing IVs and phlebotomy
Operate and manage surgical equipment effectively
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control procedures
Participate in code response and emergency procedures when required

Requirements for the RN - OR- Operating Room

Current NY State RN license
BLS certification
Three years of relevant OR experience
Experience with EPIC charting system preferred
Competency in a wide range of surgical procedures as described
