Travel Nurse RN - Operating Room - $2,904 per week in San Jose, CA

Job Title: Operating Room Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: OR Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: California RN License Required Certifications: CNOR preferred, BLS Description: Candidates must have a California RN license prior to application. Please submit a complete resume. This position consists of five 8-hour shifts. The unit has 12 OR rooms. There are 38 RNs and 12 benefited techs on staff. The current day shift includes 16 benefited RNs, including charge nurses, and 6-7 OR technicians. Mid-shift has 4 teams, and the evening shift has 1 team. Patient ratios do not apply. Equipment includes perioperative equipment. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Most recruited skills include experience in the OR. Candidates without heart experience will be excluded from consideration for this role. Heart experience is preferred for those working in the heart room. Certification as a CNOR is desirable. Additional skills in specialties such as robotics, orthopedics, eye, gynecology, ear-nose-throat, plastics, thoracic, and general surgery will be considered. Typical procedures performed on this unit include neuro, spine, total joint, gastric sleeves, major general surgery, ENT, pediatric, urology, and cardiac surgeries such as CABG and valve repair. Ideal candidates should work well in teams, be flexible, and have a positive attitude. This role may require floating to pre-op. Staff will rotate call with the rest of the team, and the call rotation details will be discussed during the interview process.
