Travel Nurse RN - Operating Room - $2,906 per week in Rockford, IL

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 15 weeks Shift: Nights and Mid Shifts Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 3 years of OR nursing experience License: Active Illinois RN licensure Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association) Must-Have: - Experience in scrubbing required - Must be able to assist in various specialties including general surgery, GYN, urology, plastics, robotics, neuro, ortho, spine, EENT, and cardiothoracic Description: This position is for an Operating Room Registered Nurse. The unit has 15 operating rooms and an average of 25 to 45 cases per day. A Charge Nurse is available 24/7, who does not take a patient assignment but can assist in a room as needed. Surgical techs are available at a ratio of 1-2 per patient, and CNAs assist with cleaning and room turnover. The facility uses an electronic charting system. Shifts are 8 hours with various start times. Call is approximately once per week, with every 3rd to 4th weekend required. There is no floating requirement for this position. Scrubs are provided, and professional dress is required when entering or leaving the facility. A unit-specific orientation is provided, lasting one week.
