Travel Nurse RN - Operating Room - $2,951 per week in Chicago, IL

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: RN Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Nurses must be able to circulate in ENT and orthopedic procedures. Scrub experience is required. Description: Facility has 205 beds and operates a Level II NICU with no trauma designation. The unit has 6 beds, with 5 for general patients and 1 for urology. Nurses will care for patients with a variety of diagnoses including general, GYN, urology, ENT, vascular, spinal, and dental cases. Support within the department includes a unit secretary and a charge nurse who also takes an assignment. Resource nurse support is available. Respiratory therapy is on call 24/7, as well as hospitalists and intensivists. The facility uses an electronic medical record system and IV pumps. Medication dispensing is managed through a system. Floating arrangements may include CST, surgical assistants, and anesthesia tech based on needs. Weekend rotation is on-call only, with availability required for 2-3 times per week and one weekend call per month. Holidays also require on-call availability. All requests for time off must be approved through management. Scrub color is provided.
