Job Title: Nursing Administration Profession: Nursing Specialty: Nursing Administration Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8-hour Night Shift Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: 2-3 years of acute care experience required (3 years for certain specialties) License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, or equivalent as applicable to position Must-Have: Experience in critical care and trauma Description: The facility is a Level I Trauma Center and Magnet-designated. It has a total of 794 beds. The surgical unit has 28 beds, including 2 hybrid rooms for cardiovascular/vascular procedures. The average patient census is approximately 60-75 surgical cases per day. Common patient types include outpatient, inpatient, and trauma cases. Typical diagnoses include gunshot wounds, stabbings, organ transplantation, and various surgical specialties. The hybrid room typically sees between 5-10 cases per day. Pediatric cases represent about 20% of the workload, focusing on specific conditions. Experience in various specialties such as cardiovascular, orthopedic, insights into robotics, and neurology are considered beneficial. Required skills include the ability to scrub and circulate for adult or pediatric cases. All candidates must have electronic medical record experience. Support within the department includes charge nurses, resource nurses, and seasoned surgical staff. Technology used includes EMR and specific medical equipment systems. Scheduled shifts will require coverage every fourth weekend with various shift times. Routine scheduling is based on rotation.
