This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join an Urgent Care Department in Juneau, Alaska. The role involves providing comprehensive clinical services within an ambulatory care setting, supporting both patients and medical staff.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality patient care, efficient clinic operations, and adherence to established healthcare standards. This position requires a proactive approach to patient care, strong leadership in clinic flow, and meticulous documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct clinical services, collaborating with providers, clinic staff, and management to ensure excellent quality of care and efficient resource utilization.
Lead and direct clinic staff to ensure efficient operation of all aspects of the clinic, including front desk and patient care.
Manage medication inventory and supplies not covered by the Warehouse PAR system.
Perform necessary quality control checks for Point of Care tests.
Accurately and timely document all care and services provided.
Oversee the opening and closing procedures for provider clinics.
Assist providers and other staff as needed, anticipating their needs to ensure efficient and quality patient care.
Communicate effectively with other departments to serve as a resource for patients, providers, and fellow clinic staff.
Adhere to infection control policies and procedures.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including adequate supplies and equipment upkeep.
Report defective or missing equipment and safety hazards promptly.
Required Qualifications
Current full, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alaska.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum of two (2) years of recent Urgent Care experience (within the last two years).
Proof of annual Flu Vaccination.
