Travel Nurse RN - Operating Room - $3,155 per week in Boston, MA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours (06:45 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of pediatric experience in the operating room License: MA RN required Certifications: BLS, PALS required Must-Have: Pediatric OR experience required Description: Main OR manager looking for experienced candidates. Proficiency in operating room procedures is expected. The level of acuity in the operating room is high. Short call shifts up to three times every six weeks will be required. Up to four off shifts every six weeks may be necessary. Occasional weekend shifts and weekend call every six weeks will be needed. Holiday shift and call coverage may be required based on unit needs. Travelers generally work 7 AM to 5 PM, with short-call shifts from 5 PM to 7 PM as needed. Charge nurses will provide advance notice regarding potential short-call shifts. Two professional references must be verified from different facilities in the last three places of employment. All applicants must have previous charge experience and trauma Level I experience is required. Candidates with trauma Level II experience are preferred. Experience with pediatric general OR, cleft lip/cleft palate repair, and tonsillectomy/adenoid procedures is desired. The patient care environment includes neonates, adolescents, infants, and pediatric patients. The daily census is anticipated to be around 85 visits. The operating room consists of 26 rooms within a facility of 415 beds. Interdisciplinary support services include respiratory, interpretation, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. This position requires flexibility and teamwork in a dynamic, high-acuity environment.
