Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) | San Andreas, CA | 13 Weeks Contract

We’re seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) to support surgical services in San Andreas, CA. Location: San Andreas
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: 5×8
Experience Required: 2 Years
Weekly Pay:$3300 to $3500
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures
Prepare operating rooms by ensuring all surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are available and functioning properly
Maintain a sterile surgical environment and ensure adherence to infection prevention protocols
Assist surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team during a variety of procedures
Perform patient assessments and verify patient identity, surgical site, and procedure according to established protocols
Monitor patient safety throughout the surgical process and respond promptly to any changes in condition
Administer medications, IV fluids, and other treatments as prescribed
Accurately document perioperative care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, surgical technologists, PACU staff, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures, recovery expectations, and post-operative care
Participate in emergency surgical cases as needed while maintaining high standards of patient care
Adapt to the unique workflow and resource availability of a rural healthcare setting
Requirements
Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License
Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience
Current BLS Certification required
Current ACLS Certification preferred
CNOR Certification preferred
Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices, sterile technique, and surgical instrumentation
Experience circulating a variety of surgical specialties
Excellent critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
Must be comfortable working in a rural hospital environment with the flexibility to adapt to varying patient volumes and surgical needs
