The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic nursing. This role may require the nurse to cover one night shift during the contract as needed. The nurse will work in a fast-paced environment, assisting in a variety of surgical procedures. Call will be distributed equally among nursing staff every six weeks. This could include up to 6-8 shifts in a six-week period, including nights, evenings, and weekends. Weekend shifts may also be required, as needed by the unit. The nurse will provide care for patients undergoing various medical procedures, including orthopedic and neuro surgeries. Interdisciplinary collaboration is essential, working closely with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure are vital for this role. The nurse will be responsible for patient assessments, preparing the operating room, and ensuring a safe environment for surgical procedures.
