Key Responsibilities of the Travel OR Registered Nurse:

Provide expert nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures
Prepare the operating room with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure safe, efficient operations
Maintain sterile technique and ensure adherence to infection control standards
Monitor patient status intraoperatively and respond to emergent needs
Document all perioperative activities accurately in the patient record
Support patient recovery and handoff to post-anesthesia care or other units as appropriate

Requirements of the Travel OR Registered Nurse:

Active RN license (Colorado or compact state)
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum of 3 years of recent Operating Room RN experience in an acute care hospital
Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and sterile field management
