Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across a full-service OR environment with 19 suites handling approximately 55–60 cases per day
• Support a broad range of surgical specialties including orthopedic, neuro, cardiac, thoracic, robotics, and general surgery (excluding major pediatrics, transplants, and C-sections in the main OR)
• Participate in on-call rotations approximately every 7th weekend; specialty call (ortho/neuro or cardiac/thoracic) assigned only if cases fall within the nurse's documented competency
• Rotate holiday coverage in coordination with permanent staff
• Operate within a charge nurse–led structure and collaborate with surgical techs, RT (24/7), and pharmacy (24/7) teams
• Scrubbing is preferred but not required; BLS and ACLS certifications required

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2–3 years of Operating Room experience
• Proficiency in Meditech EMR
• Basic competency across nearly all surgical service lines
• Must live at least 75 miles from the facility (as measured from the address on the traveler's driver's license) to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Scrubbing experience in addition to circulating
• Experience in orthopedic/neuro or cardiac/thoracic surgical specialties
• Prior travel nursing experience with demonstrated reliability and attendance
• Familiarity with robotic-assisted surgical procedures
