Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Shock Trauma)

Schedule / Job TypeContract (13 Weeks) | Days | Rotating 2x8 and 2x12 Shifts (07:00–15:30 / 07:00–19:30) | 40 Hours per Week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Perform both circulating and scrub roles within a high-acuity Shock Trauma Operating Room environment
- Provide perioperative nursing care across a 9-room OR suite
- Float within the specialty and perioperative areas, including pre-op and PACU, as needed
- Fulfill scheduled on-call obligations, including a minimum of 36 hours of pre-scheduled on-call coverage per 6-week schedule cycle
- Work a minimum of one weekend per month and holidays as scheduled
Required Qualifications- Active RN license in Maryland or valid Compact License at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
- Both circulating and scrub experience required — this is a hard requirement for this position
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification — American Heart Association only
- Ability to float within scope perioperatively with no restrictions
Preferred Experience / Skills- CNOR certification preferred
- Experience in a trauma or high-acuity surgical environment
- First-time travelers with strong, relevant OR experience will be considered
