Travel Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Travel | Full-Time | Monday – Friday, 8-Hour Shifts | On-Call required for nights and weekends | 12-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities- Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning of patient care within the operating room
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, OR technicians, and other surgical team members to deliver safe and effective patient care
- Ensure proper supplies are available and maintain timeliness of surgical cases
- Communicate with patients' families and update physician preference cards as needed
- Scrub and assist physicians during surgical cases
- Supervise personnel delivering patient care in accordance with State Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, and facility policies and procedures
Required Qualifications- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required; local candidates will not be considered
Preferred Experience / Skills- Familiarity with AORN standards and regulatory requirements in a surgical setting
- Experience scrubbing and circulating across a variety of surgical specialties
