Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (9:00 AM – 9:00 PM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide perioperative nursing care within a high-volume operating room environment handling approximately 65 cases per day across 17 surgical suites
- Support a broad range of surgical specialties including general surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedics, urology, oncology, ENT, gynecology, bariatrics, and pediatric cases
- Collaborate with OR technicians, charge nurses, and surgical teams to ensure safe and efficient patient care throughout all phases of the surgical experience
- Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities
- Participate in weeknight, weekend, and holiday call rotations as scheduled, with a 30-minute call response time requirement
- Occasionally float to nearby surgery centers or sister OR facilities based on departmental need
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of operating room nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Broad surgical case experience across multiple specialties
- Ability to participate in weeknight, weekend, and holiday call rotations
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior travel nursing experience (1–2 assignments preferred)
- Experience with robotic-assisted surgical cases (e.g., DaVinci) or cardiothoracic OR procedures
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR system
- Experience in pediatric surgical cases including trauma and scoliosis
