Key Responsibilities- Deliver safe, effective, and quality patient- and family-centered care throughout the perioperative period
- Perform scrub and circulator roles in the operating room as required
- Assist in the recovery room (PACU) as needed
- Communicate effectively with all members of the perioperative team
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality in all aspects of patient care
- Uphold and support the mission, vision, and values of the organization
Required Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Maine
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required for PACU assignments (may be obtained within 6 months of hire)
- Minimum of 1 year of medical/surgical or perioperative nursing experience
- Basic computer skills
Preferred Experience / Skills- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification preferred
- Prior experience functioning in both scrub and circulator roles within a perioperative setting
