Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 5x8-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 3:15 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care to patients in an acute care operating room setting
• Participate in on-call rotation for weekday call coverage (3:00 PM – 7:00 AM) as scheduled
• Fulfill weekend shift requirements, typically every 4th weekend with weekday coverage
• Float within scope to meet facility needs across like units as required
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June–November) as required

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of Operating Room RN experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Must be available to fulfill on-call and weekend obligations per rotation schedule

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in an acute care hospital environment
• Familiarity with surgical scrub and circulating roles in the OR
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to floating assignments across similar units
