Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 5x8-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 3:15 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care to patients in an acute care operating room setting
- Participate in on-call rotation for weekday call coverage (3:00 PM – 7:00 AM) as scheduled
- Fulfill weekend shift requirements, typically every 4th weekend with weekday coverage
- Float within scope to meet facility needs across like units as required
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
- Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June–November) as required
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of Operating Room RN experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Proficiency with Epic charting system
- Must be available to fulfill on-call and weekend obligations per rotation schedule
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in an acute care hospital environment
- Familiarity with surgical scrub and circulating roles in the OR
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to floating assignments across similar units
