Job Title
Registered Nurse – Operating Room
LocationCharleston, SC
Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM), Monday–Friday | On-Call Required (approximately 5–8 calls per month, including weekends; holiday call may also be required)
Key Responsibilities- Circulate general operating room cases across a variety of surgical specialties
- Maintain patient safety and advocate for the patient throughout the perioperative process
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure efficient and effective case management
- Participate in on-call rotations, including weekend and potential holiday call assignments
- Comply with facility protocols, including radiation safety requirements and use of provided radiation badge
- Participate in emergency response team assignments as required during hurricane season (June–November)
Required Qualifications- Active South Carolina RN license or multi-state compact RN license must be in hand at time of contract start
- Minimum 2 years of circulating experience in a general OR setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Ability to circulate general OR cases independently; scrub experience is not required
- Radiation badge required (provided by agency)
- Charting proficiency; facility uses EPIC
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience circulating in specialty areas such as Plastics, Colorectal, Urology, Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS), Pancreatic/Biliary, or Surgical Oncology
- Experience working in a robotic-assisted surgery environment
- Background in a Level I Trauma Center, teaching facility, or Magnet-designated hospital
