Provide direct perioperative nursing care in a high-volume, Level I Trauma Center operating room environment supporting 35–50 cases per day across 16 OR suites
Perform circulating and scrub roles across a broad range of service lines including General, Cardiac/Vascular, Neuro, Orthopedic Trauma, Robotics, Gynecology, Urology, Pediatrics, and Transplants
Operate and assist with advanced surgical technology including Da Vinci robotic systems, Stealth neuro-navigation technology, and Synthes/Stryker orthopedic trauma instrumentation
Maintain efficient OR turnover times of less than 20 minutes between cases
Float across multiple campuses as required to meet staffing needs
Participate in on-call coverage including weekend call from end of Friday shift through Monday morning
Required Qualifications
Minimum 24 months of current Operating Room experience (hospital or medical center setting prioritized)
Demonstrated circulating experience in the OR is required
Experience in General, Da Vinci Robotics, Pediatrics, and Trauma cases required
Trauma Level II experience required
Active Iowa RN license or Compact/Multistate license at time of submission
Active BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
EPIC EMR experience within the previous 3 years
Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment within the previous 9 months (no first-time travelers)
Preferred Experience / Skills
Scrub experience highly preferred
Experience in Neurology, Orthopedics (primarily trauma), Gynecology, Urology, Transplants, Plastics, and ENT cases highly preferred
Trauma Level I experience highly preferred
Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
